Thermal imaging inspection

Thermal imaging survey is one of the latest and most efficient techniques for investigating buildings, structures and utility facilities. It is based on the analysis of objects in infrared spectrum, thermal processes dynamics and calculation of heat flows.

When and why we do thermal imaging survey:

Checking thermal protection level

Most buildings in Russia have enclosing structures not complying with the effective standards for thermal resistance. Improper thermal insulation material and defects, caused by violations arising when dismantling enclosures, result in excessive heat consumption and deteriorate building climate.

Thermal imaging survey is currently one of the most efficient methods of assessing thermal protection quality.

When doing full assessment of thermal protection, the main thermo-technical parameters of enclosures are being assessed. Such assessment, if carried out traditionally, would require installation of several hundreds or thousands of thermal detectors, which require high enormous labor and financial costs. Thermal imaging survey enables to get athermal pictureof building enclosures and see the quality of thermal protection.

Red areas are defects in the building's thermal insulation.

Search for hidden defects

Thermal imaging survey provides prompt and precise detection of defects in thermal conductivity and air permeability:

defects in insulating glass units and associated heat leakages

thermal bridges in panels conjunctions

heat leakages spots in walls

cold bridges in the joints of floor structures

spots of the increased air infiltration in conjunctions between panels

underconsolidations, cracks in load-carrying structures and enclosures

leakages in the internal building structures

Diagnostics of heating and water supply systems

Today thermal sight survey is the only efficient way to determine condition of heating system quickly and precisely.

With thermal sight equipment we can detect performance violations not only in individual components of the system (heating equipment and heat pipes), but also quality of heating system adjustment.

Evaluation of electric equipment anomalous overheating

Power networks and electric equipment in large-power objects and utility systems should be regularly diagnosed for breakage and failures which may lead to great financial losses.

Thermal sight survey of electric equipment helps to reveal hidden defects, overheating in the network and prevent these breakdowns. Moreover, thermal sight survey allows to determinate causes of accidents and fire.
